In the 22nd match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Mumbai Indians beat Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets. Chasing 186 runs Mumbai got a flying start as Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan added quick 65 runs in just four overs. Rohit in his innings scored 20 runs off 13 balls while Kishan hammered a magnificent half-century as he scored 58 runs off 25 balls.
However, after the game Mumbai Indians had a victory lap in the Wankhede Stadium to promote their Education and Sports for All theme. During the victory parade, skipper Rohit Sharma along with Ishan Kishan steal Zaheer Khan from the live interview and took him to the parade. Zaheer was speaking with Jio Cinema, one of the broadcasters of the Indian Premier League. But, after the team’s triumph over KKR, Rohit and Ishan pulled him away from the interview and joined their celebratory parade.

Mumbai Indians continue their dominance over KKR
Earlier, in the game after opting to bowl first MI restricted KKR to 73-3 in 8.1 overs. However, Venkatesh Iyer along with Shardul Thakur added 50 runs off 28 balls and helped his team to post a competitive total. Iyer in his innings scored 104 runs off 51 balls with the help of nine sixes and six fours. Meanwhile, Hrithik Shokheen clinched two wickets and shined with the bowl for MI.
Chasing 186 didn’t hurt MI much as they got a flying start. After Rohit’s dismissal stand-in, skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma played some crucial knocks and helped Mumbai to register their second consecutive victory. Suryakumar Yadav in his innings scored 43 runs while Tilak added 30 runs. Meanwhile, young spinner Suyash Sharma shined with the bowl for KKR as he dismissed Rohit Sharma and Tilak Verma to clinch two wickets. Notably, MI will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their next game on Tuesday, April 18 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
