Ever since his debut for India in the T20I format, Rinku Singh has been impressing with the bat. During the recent T20I series against Afghanistan, the left-handed batter scored 94 runs without being dismissed.
With 69 in the final game of the series, Rinku Singh and Rohit Sharma helped India win the series 3-0. The match will go down in the history of cricket as the best T20I match as two Super-Overs were being played. It was Rinku Singh who won the game for India as he held onto two catches during the 2nd super-over. After playing in the T20I series, Rinku Singh went back to play for Uttar Pradesh and scored just 10 runs with the bat versus Bihar.
The next big challenge for the young batter will be during the IPL as Rinku Singh turns out for Kolkata Knight Riders. Indian fans will want the young batter to continue his run of form and help India win the T20I World Cup in June. Meanwhile, the simplicity of Rinku Singh’s father is worth complimenting. May both the father and son duo continue to sizzle in their respective fields and get more accolades.
