Rajasthan were superb in the recently concluded Indian T20 League 2022. Although they failed to win the title, they managed to impress all the fans and experts. The Sanju Samson-led side went on to make it to the final.
Nevertheless, several of their players were impressive throughout the tournament. One name that stands out from the rest is Jos Buttler. The Englishman was simply sensational as he went on to win the Orange Cap. In the 17 games he played in this edition, he scored 863 runs in 17 at an average of 57.53. This included four hundreds as well.
It is safe to say that he was scoring runs for fun. In the meanwhile, Buttler was recently seen getting his jersey signed by Ravichandran Ashwin. It is to be noted that the two have had their own history, and were involved in the “Mankading” controversy during the 12th edition of the league. However, both have put the past being them, as they were happily seen playing together for the Rajasthan-based franchise during the 2022 edition.
In a video posted by Rajasthan’s official Twitter account, Ashwin can be seen signing Buttler’s jersey. This showed that they have come a long way from the “Mankading” controversy in 2019, and now share a great bond. Hence, it didn’t take too long for the video to get viral.

As far as Ashwin is concerned, he managed to pick 12 wickets in 17 games of this edition. Besides, he was superb with the bat as well. He scored 191 runs at an average and strike rate of 27.29 and 141.48 respectively. In the meanwhile, Buttler recently drew light on his performance in the 2022 edition, and spoke about how the players of the Rajasthan-based franchise played like a team throughout the tournament.
“My goals are to play my role for the team and try and react on the day regarding what the game is asking me to do. In good teams you have a lot of trust in everyone. We have huge trust in everyone in our team,” said Jos Buttler during the post-match presentation of the Indian T20 League 2022 Final.
