On the sidelines of the Major League Cricket 2023 playoffs, MI New York (MINY) spinner Rashid Khan made the decision to perform a practical joke on Texas Super Kings all-rounder Dwayne Bravo. Off the pitch, Khan as well as Bravo are close friends and share a very close bond.
Khan approached Bravo from behind while he was talking to MINY captain Pollard during a stoppage during the MLC 2023 playoffs. Then, as the cameraman for MINY’s social media crew informed Bravo that they had captured him, the two T20 stars hugged one another. The video was posted by the MI New York social media handle along with the caption, “Legends in stature. Boys by nature. #OneFamily #MINewYork #MajorLeagueCricket #wafvminy.”
The Major League Cricket 2023 playoffs’ opening round took place earlier on Friday in the USA. Quinton de Kock’s outstanding 50-ball 80 in Qualifier 1’s final gave Seattle Orcas a nine-wicket victory over Texas Super Kings.
In the Eliminator, Washington Freedom and MI New York squared off. MINY qualified for the Challenger despite scoring just 141 runs during the first innings by holding Washington to 125/9.
Rashid Khan along with Dwayne Bravo shared a humorous interaction in the MLC 2023 playoffs, as was already announced. During the Challenger, in which MI New York will compete versus the Texas Super Kings seeking a spot in the championship game against the Seattle Orcas, the two players will square off.

It is important to remember that Khan and Bravo shared a dressing room earlier this year during the inaugural International League T20 at the MI Emirates. It’s interesting that MI Emirates advanced to Qualifier 2, and there they were defeated by Gulf Giants, the eventual champions.
Texas Super Kings vs MI New York – The Challenger
On Saturday, July 29 in India, MI New York and Texas Super Kings will square off in the Challenger of the MLC 2023. The game between the two storied foes will take place at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
After suffering a severe loss against the Orcas, TSK would not be feeling too confident. After defeating the Freedom, New York is anticipated to be in terrific shape. MI New York will enter the game as clear favourites and want to secure a place in the inaugural tournament’s championship game.
