WATCH: Rahul Dravid welcomes Virat Kohli in practice session with a hug, video goes viral

Team India are eyeing to end their 31-year-long wait of winning the first-ever Test series against South Africa in South Africa.

Former Indian skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli recently made it to the headlines after he had to fly back to India from South Africa due to personal reasons. The fans were also suspicious of his presence for Team India in the first Test of the two-match series against South Africa.

Meanwhile, Kohli ended all speculations and suspense as he returned to South Africa just a few days ahead of the Test series opener and joined the team for practice at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.

In the same line of events, a video also went viral over social media in which the head coach of Team India, Rahul Dravid is seen welcoming Virat Kohli at the practice session with a hug following a handshake. The video of this moment immediately started making rounds as soon as it was shared by a user over X (formerly Twitter).

Notably, the 35-year-old batting stalwart will be in action for Team India in the upcoming first Test of the two-match series against South Africa. Both teams will take on each other in the series opener at the SuperSport Park in Centurion, starting tomorrow Tuesday, December 26.

Speaking of Team India, they have gone through a couple of changes in the squad they announced primarily; firstly, the veteran pacer Mohammed Shami was ruled out from the Test series due to the time in his recovery from the ankle injury; he was replaced by India A pacer Prasidh Krishna in the national squad of the men’s team.

Subsequently, young wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan withdrew his name citing to personal reasons and reportedly mental fatigue; he was further replaced by the veteran Bengal wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat in the squad. Lastly, it was the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad who got ruled out from the Test series due to a finger injury; another star Bengal player Abhimanyu Easwaran replaced Ruturaj Gaikwad in the main squad of India for the Test series against India.
