WATCH: Newly married Indian team bowler gives hilarious take on his new partnership

Mukesh Kumar has been one of the biggest positives for Team India in 2023.

While on their tour of South Africa, the Indian cricket team is going to set out on a new quest. There will be two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is for the Indian cricket squad. For the first time, three separate Indian cricket team players will be leading the three forms. With the responsibility of leading the T20I squad, Suryakumar Yadav will need to lead the Indian team to victory in the opening T20I match versus South Africa on Sunday.

One key player for the Indian T20I team is fast bowler Mukesh Kumar. Additionally, he was chosen for the ODI series. He performed admirably in India’s recent home T20I series victory against Australia. But Mukesh Kumar skipped the third game due to a unique circumstance, despite having played the first two.

At the third T20I toss, India’s skipper Suryakumar Yadav disclosed the cause behind Mukesh Kumar’s absence. The series was being played in Twenty20 format versus Australia. Then, Suryakumar Yadav had stated, “Avesh replaces Mukesh, who is playing his biggest game, he’s getting married and we wish him all the best.”

A video that captured Mukesh Kumar’s amusing remark following his wedding has now gone viral. He said, “I am feeling good. Jinke saath starting se raha hai, unke saath doosri paadi start kia hu. Aur match bhi agey accha khelunga main inke saath(I have started my second innings with the person I was with from the start. In the future too I will be playing my match well with her).”

India set to embark on another South African tour

A three-match T20I series is scheduled for December 10–14, and then a three-match ODI series is scheduled for December 17–21. A two-match Test series, starting on December 26, will make up the tour’s last leg and be played as part of the World Test Championship.

India still has difficulties in South Africa, especially in the test format where winning a series has proven to be difficult. Previous Indian teams have failed to create history in South Africa, even though they have shown potential. India has only won four test contests in South Africa during the past thirty years.
