Paris Saint-German have won French Ligue 1 after securing a 1-1 draw against Lens. This was PSG’s sixth draw of the season. Lionel Messi scored for PSG in the 68th minute of the game. Before the goal, the ball was in possession of France international Kylian Mbappe, who passed the ball to Brazil international, Neymar Jr.
The duo was surrounded by the opposition players. At this stage, Neymar saw that Messi was at open place. The former passed the ball to the Argentina international, who hit the net outfoxing the goalkeeper. The team held on to the lead of 1-0 for the next 20 minutes before Corentin Jean from RC Lens scored an equalizer for his team.
Jean scored the goal in the 88th minute. The game ended in a 1-1 draw which meant that PSG won the title on the virtue of being higher in the table. RC Lens were on the seventh spot in the table. This was PSG’s 10th league title.

After the game, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke about the title win and the fans’ protest. Notably, the PSG fans are protesting against the club for the rumoured transfer of Paul Pogba. The fans feel that the club overpaid for the French mid-fielder. “We are going through a difficult period with the fans and we hope it will get better. We’re in a democracy and we accept all protests. But we have to show respect for this title, †said Mauricio Pochettino.
On the other hand, PSG captain Marquinhos spoke about the poor atmosphere in the ground the team had faced during the game. “The atmosphere is a shame. Football is our passion. We’ll try to have as much fun as possible. It’s a shame that won’t be with the supporters but we have to deal with it.â€
