The Bangladeshi super fans named Shoaib Ali was reportedly harassed by the Indian fans during the match between India and Bangladesh in Pune in the ODI World Cup 2023. The footage of the Bangladeshi super fan being harassed by the Indian fans is going viral on the social media. Fans are not happy with the act of the misbehaving from the immature audience, who were responsible for the act.
In the viral video, the Indian fans were seen damaging the tiger doll which the Bangladeshi fan usually carries during all the matches of his favorite team. When Indian fans saw him supporting Bangladesh, they damaged the tiger doll and threw it down the stands. Ali was disappointed with the act of the Indian fans in the stadium. The video of the incident visibly looks bad and deserves criticism.
India and Bangladesh took on each other in Pune in the ODI World Cup 2023. India won the match by 7 wickets to register their fourth win of the tournament on a row. Along with New Zealand, India is the only unbeaten team in the tournament till now. India did not face a huge challenge in beating Bangladesh in Pune. The home side won the match comfortably by 7 wickets. Virat Kohli, openers, and bowlers shined for India.
Several reports of Indian fans misbehaving surfaces in ODI WC 2023
During the match, the Indian fans misbehaved with the Bangladeshi super fan. There are allegations of the Indian fans misbehaving with a lot of fans in other matches. An incident of the Indian fans quarrelling with the Afghanistan fans was reported from Delhi during the match between the two teams. Pakistan fans complained of similar incidents. Officials have neglected the issue.
Bangladesh currently has one win in the tournament. The win came against Afghanistan in their first match of the tournament. In three other matches, Bangladesh has faced heavyweights like England, New Zealand, and India. In all the three matches, Bangladesh lost by big margins. They will be looking to make bug comeback in their upcoming matches in the tournament.
