In a moment when the tension was almost apparent, Team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur sent back opposing captain Alyssa Healy. to get her team back into the match against Australia on Saturday.
Harmanpreet appeared to get more out from her bowling. This is because she had just removed Tahlia McGrath and was in high spirits. Healy sent the ball right towards Harmanpreet during one of her deliveries. Then the Indian captain promptly returned the ball to the striker’s end.
The ball deflected to the boundary of the third man after Alyssa Healy raised her bat as a barrier to prevent getting struck. In response to Harmanpreet Kaur’s petition for obstruction of the pitch, four runs were overthrows.
Healy attempted an outrageous sweep shot on the following delivery, but the ball struck her pads and she lost touch, thus the umpire called her leg before wicket. Harmanpreet was jubilant and appeared little frustrated by the four overthrows; she gave Healy a quick look as he approached the non-striker during a review.
The Australian skipper was forced to return to the pavilion as the replays revealed three reds, much to the joy of the Indian players. The footage of Harmanpreet’s expulsion and celebration can be found here:

India Women look to win one-off Test on final day
Many have stated that Harmanpreet Kaur has a golden arm whenever she bowls. She demonstrated this when she dismissed Tahlia McGrath on Day 3 of the one-off Test. This dismissal stopped Healy and the all-rounder’s 66-run partnership. With that wicket, the hosts were able to prevent Australia from controlling the innings’ tempo. Healy returned to the pavilion as well which was a massive blow for the visitors.
Having a lead of just 46 runs, Ash Gardner along with Annabel Sutherland will have to be quick on Day 4. India will be aware that they stand a chance to chase down the final score. It would be an iconic win in history if they are able to defeat the Aussies.
