Former India skipper MS Dhoni is one of those players who started preparations for the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League days before others. He reached Chennai weeks before the cash-rich tournament to participate in the camp organized by the franchise. In different videos shared by the franchise on social media, Captain Cool can be seen hitting in nets and preparing well for the tournament. Meanwhile, the latest video of him set the internet on fire as Dhoni participated in the maintenance work at the Chepauk.

In a video shared by the Chennai franchise, skipper Dhoni can be seen painting the seats of the stadium in Yellow. He can be seen having fun with the paint sprays as he was playing with them like a child. Dhoni painted a few seats in the spectators’ area where maintenance work was going on ahead of Chennai’s encounter against Lucknow on their home ground.

Earlier, Chennai shared an amazingly edited video of Dhoni, where the legend can be seen rolling his hands and trying to throw some balls in the nets. Dhoni is set to lead Chennai once again this year as he reclaimed the charge of the team after Ravindra Jadeja decided to leave the position.

Will MS Dhoni retire after this year’s Indian T20 League?

As the Indian legend is set to lead Chennai, there are many speculations about his retirement is going around. The 41-year-old wicketkeeper-batter announced his retirement from international cricket in August 2020. He last represented India in the semifinals of the 50-over World Cup against New Zealand. In the game, after being run out, Dhoni left the ground in tears and never looked back. Although there are many speculations about Dhoni’s retirement, his teammate Deepak Chahar busted all speculations. 

MS Dhoni led-Chennai will face Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat in the first game of the Indian T20 League season 16. They will lock horns at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium on March 31. Dhoni will want to finish this season with glory as Chennai finished the previous season 9th on the points table.
