Former England cricketer Isa Guha was seen running in heels ahead of the ongoing only Test in Women’s Ashes 2023. Ahead of the Day play’s, it is a tradition in Nottingham, just like Lord’s to ring the bell. It indicates the start of play during a Test match at these venues. Not to forget, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the same ritual is followed during every international or IPL game.
Meanwhile, Guha running in heels was a sight to watch for the fans and her colleagues. In a video uploaded by Sy Sports Cricket, the cricketer-turned-commentator seemed to be running out of time for the said ritual. Despite wearing heels, the two-time World Champion ensured to complete the ritual despite the risk of getting injured. Aftermath the incident, she can be heard saying “I don’t do that sort of running anymore, especially in heels”.
