In the 55th game of the ongoing IPL 2023, Chennai Super Kings is hosting Delhi Capitals at Chepauk. In the game, the home team won the toss and elected to bat first. The team had a steady start as they managed to score 32 runs in four overs without losing a wicket. However, in the fifth and seventh over, Axar Patel got rid of both openers one by one.

In the 10th over, Kuldeep Yadav took out Moeen Ali trying to attack the former. Meanwhile, on the first ball of the 12th over, Lalit Yadav took a screamer to send Ajinkya Rahane back to the pavilion. The India international played a full-blooded drive. However, Yadav dove towards his right and took a great catch behind himself.

Lalit Yadav belted for 23 runs in his third over

Talking about Yadav’s bowling, he gave away only six runs in his first over. He started his second with a caught and bowled off his own bowling. In this over, he conceded only five runs including a dot ball. However, in his third over, Shivam Dube hit two sixes and Ambati Rayadu hit a four and a six. This makes for 23 runs in the over.

Since then, the Delhi player is yet to bowl his fourth and last over of his spell. After all, the 17th over is in progress and the skipper David Warner might not feel comfortable going with an off-spinner. Talking about the game, CSK has amassed 136/6 in 17.3 overs with Ravindra Jadeja and skipper MS Dhoni at the crease. DC bowlers have bowled well so far and would like to restrict the opposition to under 160-170. On the other hand, the likes of Dhoni and Jadeja will have opposite plans.
