The Road Safety World Series has left cricket fans enthralled with its riveting cricketing action on the field. The fans are loving every bit of the tournament as they are getting to see their favourite legends back in the action all over again. With the last phase of the tournament being held in Raipur, a hilarious moment from Match 19 between Sri Lanka Legends and Bangladesh Legends has gone viral on the internet.
The video, which is from the Sri Lanka Legends innings, shows the Bangladesh team’s rib-tickling fielding effort. In the video, the ball is delivered and the batter ends up top-edging it over the wicket-keeper Dhiman Ghosh’s head. Ghosh runs backwards in an attempt to catch the ball but the ball lands just before him.
The fielder at short-third man tries to stop the ball but it ends up leaving him as he runs behind it trying to stop the boundary. Later he fields the ball but doesn’t throw it to the wicketkeeper to get a run-out. The batters take full advantage and start going for the third run, which prompts him to throw the ball but he ends up throwing wide of the wicketkeeper and the bowler allowing the batters to steal another run.

Coming back to the match, Bangladesh Legends won the toss and decided to invite the Sri Lanka Legends in to bat first. Sri Lanka made full use of their batting first opportunity as legends Tillakaratne Dilshan, Sanath Jayasuriya and Chamara Silva were amongst the runs. Dilshan notched up a brilliant half-century off 30 balls. Sri Lanka ended their innings with a daunting total of 213 at the end of their 20 overs.
Bangladesh Legends never looked in the hunt for the score as they fell behind on the required run rate right from the start. They could only manage 143 for the loss of eight wickets at the end of their innings, handing Sri Lanka a win by 70 runs.
The Sri Lanka Legends will next face West Indies Legends in the second semi-final on Thursday.
