After a series of poor performances and two back-to-back defeats in the ongoing tournament, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam faces criticism in his country.

Australia vs Pakistan

In the 18th match of the ODI World Cup 2023, Australia beat Pakistan by 62 runs to register their second back-to-back victories in the ongoing tournament. After a batting craze from David Warner and Mitchell Marsh, Australian spinner Adam Zampa stole the show with his amazing batting performance.

Meanwhile, a video of an Australian cricket fan went viral on social media. In the viral video, the Aussie fan can be seen cheering for Australia. However, soon he starts chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. His amazing dedication to the cricket giants and the way he interacted with people stole fans’ hearts. His video went viral on social media as fans praised his fondness for India.

Here is the video:

It’s worth noting that earlier, a Pakistani fan was stopped from chanting ‘Pakistan Jindabad’ during the game against Australia. In a viral video, a policeman asked a Pakistani fan to stop using the chants as it was not permissible. However, fans argued with the security officer and tried to understand the reason behind the decision. Despite constant questioning, the policeman didn’t allow the chants, which created a stir on social media.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam faces huge criticism

After a series of poor performances and two back-to-back defeats in the ongoing tournament, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam faces criticism in his country. Former cricketers and fans have bashed the world’s number-one batter for his below-par performance in the ongoing tournament. With the bat, Babar has scored just 83 runs in four innings, including a half-century against India.

However, his captaincy is something that is more significant for Pakistan. The team is constantly struggling to take early wickets in the game while their batters are struggling to score runs in the middle overs. Apart from wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, not a single batter looked comfortable against spinners in the ongoing tournament.
