Punjab and Bangalore were squaring off against each other in the 60th match of the Indian T20 League 2022. The stakes in the match were very high as both the teams were looking for a win to consolidate their place in the top four.

But a picture from off-the-field has grabbed the attention of the fans. The picture was posted by VVS Laxman on his official Instagram handle. He was seen gracing the stands with Rahul Dravid. The duo rules the heart of the Indian cricket fans on the back of their memorable performances for the Indian team. Their epic partnership in the second Test of the home series versus Australia in 2001 will be etched in the memories of cricket fans forever.

Laxman and Dravid are known to share a great bond and friendship. Both of them retired from international cricket in 2012, but they continue to serve Indian cricket. While Rahul Dravid is the Head Coach of India’s men’s cricket team, VVS Laxman is the chief of the National Cricket Academy.

Laxman shared the picture of himself and Dravid with the caption- “It’s like I am talking to a wall! Thanks for the lovely pic, Samridhi Tahpiyal.” The picture soon went viral on the internet and the fans flooded the comment section with love.

Speaking of the match, Bangalore won the toss in the match and decided to field first. But the Bangalore bowlers were greeted with hostility as Jonny Bairstow looked to take on the attack from the very beginning of the innings. He scored 66 runs off 29 deliveries and git them off to a great start. Liam Livingstone (70 off 42) further consolidated their position in the match and took them to a formidable total of 209 runs in their 20 overs.

Bangalore in reply never looked like they could make it. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were especially helpless against Kagiso Rabada. Rabada picked up 3 wickets for 21 runs from his four overs. Bangalore was ultimately restricted to 155 for 9 in their 20 overs and lost the match by 54 runs.
