India was in all sorts of trouble in the final session of day three of the second Test match against Bangladesh. While chasing a target of 45, they lost four wickets at a score of 45 by the end of the day. The last wicket to fall for India was of the former team captain, Virat Kohli.

However, immediately after the wicket, the batter was involved in a brawl with one of the Bangladeshi bowlers. As Virat was walking away after his wicket, Taijul Islam, a left-arm orthodox bowler, said something which provoked the Indian batter. The two bantered over what the bowler said before the Bangladeshi skipper Shakib Al Hasan intervened and put an end to the argument.

In the meantime, on Day 2, a similar incident occurred. Kohli was provoked when the Bangladesh batters started wasting time as the lights dimmed. Frustrated by Bangladesh batters’ antics, Kohli angrily gestured to remove his jersey as Najmul Hossain Shanto began tying his shoelaces after the fifth ball of the sixth over, prompting the umpires to call for stumps.

Shanto went down at the non-striker’s end to tie his shoelaces, which irritated the former India captain. Kohli began tugging on his jersey and firing at the batter, mocking Shanto for wasting time. He supposedly said, “Shirt bhi khol le apna (Open your shirt as well).

As for the game, India took an 87-run lead in the first innings thanks to half-centuries from Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. Bangladesh, on the other hand, did well after that, scoring 231 runs on a fairly difficult track. They set a target of 145 for India to chase after half-centuries from Zakir Hasan and Litton Das.

India has lost four wickets for a team score of 45 at the end of day three. With Axar Patel batting at 26 runs in 54 balls and Jaydev Unadkat batting at three in eight balls in the middle, they now need 100 runs to win.
