The long-awaited teaser for Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film Fighter has finally arrived, and it lives up to the hype. It shows Hrithik Roshan’s Patty, Deepika Padukone‘s Minni, and Anil Kapoor’s Rocky as squadron leaders in uniform and full swag as they fly their fighter jets on a mission. The film will be released on January 25, one year after Siddharth’s previous blockbuster, Pathaan.
The teaser depicts the lead actors literally flying high in their jets, displaying some impressive aerial action. There are also some nail-biting jet stunts and a fleeting glimpse of a Besharam Rang-style song featuring Hrithik and Deepika. The teaser concludes on a high note, with Sujlam Suflam playing in the background as Hrithik unfurls a tricolour from his aircraft.
Hrithik Roshan is back with a bang:
Deepika Padukone revealed the time of the teaser release in a small video on Thursday. The video was actually a Radiogram activity that revealed Patty and Minni’s conversation about the teaser release. “Locked, I’m ready to drop” she captioned it. The lead actors’ first looks and character names were recently revealed. Hrithik plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty, Anil as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, also known as Rocky, and Deepika as Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, also known as Minni. All are said to be members of the Indian Air Force’s Air Dragons unit, which is led by Anil’s Rocky.
Fighter is being billed as India’s first feature-length aerial action film. Deepika’s second film with Siddharth follows Pathaan, in which she co-starred with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. In the over 1000 grosser, she was seen in a very glamorous avatar and also had quite a few action scenes. Deepika’s first on-screen collaboration with Hrithik Roshan is Fighter, which she pitched on social media long before the film was announced.
Fighter’s motion poster was released on Independence Day this year, and the film will be the first major release of next year. It will be released a day before Republic Day.
