In the opening leg in their round-of-16 match, Manchester City will travel to Copenhagen to continue their Champions League championship defence. But Copenhagen advanced thanks to Manchester United’s following surrender and a run of three straight victories. Although they were defeated in two of their past four games in all competitions, Copenhagen is now third in the Superliga. When Manchester City resumes their championship defence in the Champions League knockout rounds, they will be confident that they are back in their stride. Since their last defeat at Aston Villa on December 7, City has won 12 of their 13 games and is unbeaten.
