Despite being deprived of the opportunity to hit the crucial runs in his farewell Test, David Warner made a valuable contribution. Through his efforts, Australia defeated Pakistan with eight wickets and won the entire series 3-0 earlier today. Australia had the winning target of 130 runs in sight as they chased it down with ease in the fourth innings.

In an attempt to snap a 16-match losing streak in Australia dating back to 1995, Pakistan scored 47 more runs in the morning session at the expense of its last three wickets. Pakistan were ultimately bowled for 115 after having amassed 50 more runs on Day four.

With the help of Starc, Hazlewood, and Cummins, Pakistan was reduced to 47/4 after Shan Masood chose to bat first. Pakistan was somewhat restored by a counterattacking 88 by Rizwan and an additional fifty from Salman.

However, Cummins cut through the lower order, and Jamal’s outstanding performance was required. To lead his team beyond 300, he struck a scorching 82 off 97 balls and had an 84-run partnership with Hamza, the number one batsman.

David Warner failed to leave an impression in the first innings of his final Test. The hosts were positioned comfortably at 289/5 with handy contributions from Khawaja, Smith, and Labuschagne. However, they were down by 14 runs after collapsing and surrendering 5 wickets for a mere 10 runs.

Australia kept Pakistan down to a low score!

At 1/2, Pakistan was faltering, but some stability was provided by a 56-run partnership between Saim Ayub and Babar Azam. However, the story took a twist once again for the worse for Pakistan. For seven runs, they lost five wickets. Hazlewood used a triple wicket-maiden to blast through the middle order.

Before Lyon quickly removed Salman, Rizwan and Lyon pieced together a 42-run stand. As a result, Pakistan were bundled out for 115 runs. Australia had a mere 130 to pursue as Labuchagne and Warner made it look like a piece of cake.
