While there are some records that people might have a chance to break, there are some records that will take some doing inorder to break them. Kohli took over the reins of Test captaincy from MS Dhoni in 2015 and took India to heights never seen before. While his tenure as a captain was extremely successful, Kohli also had a great run with the bat during his captaincy. He scored seven double-hundreds in Test Cricket as a captain which is the most by any Test skipper in the history of the game. He’s also the only player to score four double-hundreds in four consecutive Test series.

2 Most Centuries as Captain in ODIs

Virat Kohli’s golden run with the bat was not only limited to Test cricket as bowlers were at the receiving end in the ODIs as well. While captaining the ‘Men-in-Blue’, the 34-year-old reached the coveted landmark of 100 runs 21 times in his career in the limited overs format which is also the highest by any captain. As a leader, he has 5449 runs to his name at an average of 72.65.

If there’s anything that Kohli loves the most in international cricket i.e chasing. The Delhi-batter has taken Indian home in several impossible chases on many occasions with his scintillating innings. Out of the 44 ODI hundreds of Kohli, 26 have come while chasing where India have won on 22 occasions. While batting second, Kohli has scored 7,311 runs at an average of 65.86.

There are just six players who have over 25 centuries in ODIs and to think that Kohli has 26 hundreds only while chasing. This record will take a herculean effort from anybody to break it.
