Murali Karthik’s outstanding spell against Australia in 2007 is one of the best bowling performances in an India vs Australia series. He picked up six wickets for just 27 runs, which helped India to restrict Australia to a meagre 193 runs.
Karthik’s spell included the wickets of Brad Hodge, Andrew Symonds, Brad Haddin, James Hopes, Brad Hogg, and Brett Lee. India went on to win the match by two wickets and Karthik was awarded the Player of the Match for his superb bowling performance.
