Sanju Samson has been one of the most consistent performers in the Indian T20 League over the years. The wicketkeeper batter was once again seen at his usual best in the recent season where he plundered 458 runs in 17 innings with a strike rate of 146, including two half centuries to his name. Samson was instrumental in giving the impetus to the Rajasthan innings in the middle overs more often than not which set them up for a blistering finish in the death overs.
He even led the Rajasthan franchise to the finals of the tournament this year after 14 years. The batter only got one opportunity to play after the league and scored a blistering 77 off 42 balls against Ireland in the second T20I. If given more chances, Samson could turn out to be an important match-winner in the tournament.
