England pacer Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the upcoming England summer due to a stress fracture. Archer was looking to make his comeback in the competitive cricket with a T20 game for Surrey next week. This was supposed to be his comeback in the game after March 2021, when he represented the Three Lions on the tour of India. Early this year, the 2019 World Cup winner was seen training which gave an impression that he might return to the game.
Also, not to forget, the Mumbai franchise in the Indian T20 League was bought after battling with the likes of Rajasthan and Hyderabad in the player auction. The decision had raised a lot of eyebrows as he was unavailable to play. In this listicle, we will look at three players who can replace the Barbadian if he missed out on the 2023 Indian T20 League.
Three players who can replace Jofra Archer
- Kane RichardsonThe Australia pacer has played the cash-rich league for teams such as Rajasthan, Bangalore, and now-defunct Pune. This year he went unsold. He is vastly experienced in the shortest format playing for the national side and various T20 Leagues. In the 142 games, he played, the right-arm pacer has picked 180 wickets averaging 22.42, an economy rate of 7.98, and striking at 16.8. He can a good replacement for the Englishman. However, it will be interesting to see whether Mumbai shows interest in his services.
2. Ben Dwarshius
The uncapped Australia left-arm pacer has been part of Delhi and Punjab before. This year, he isn’t part of any team. Meanwhile, he has played for New South Wales in domestic cricket and Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. In the 97 games, he played, he has picked 117 wickets with a best figures of 26/5. The 27-year-old averages 23.94, strikes at 17.2, and has an economy rate of 8.32. He is also a decent batter with a strike rate of 126.88 including the highest score of 66 runs.
3. Chris Woakes
The Englishman has played for Kolkata, Delhi, and Bangalore in the Indian T20 League. Not just these teams, he has played for different teams in T20 Leagues around the globe. In the 125 games he has played, he has 137 scalps to his name averaging 24.76, striking at 18, and has an economy rate of 8.23 with a best figures of 21/4. Not to forget he is an all-rounder which mean that he is a decent batter down the order like Archer. The right-hander has 854 runs to his name.

My coder is trying to convince me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net.
