3. Virender Sehwag- 112 balls vs West Indies, 2011
It’s nearly impossible to leave Virender Sehwag off such lists. In December 2011, the swashbuckling opener recorded a 112-ball 150 on his way to his famous double century against the West Indies in Indore. Batting first, his 219 (149) helped India to 418/5 in 50 overs and a 153-run victory.
A double-century from him seemed almost inevitable at the time, despite the fact that only Tendulkar had achieved the feat before him. His free-flowing style enabled him to get 25 fours and seven sixes, the majority of which were behind the square.
