On Wednesday, August 31, 2023 the world celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi, which is a very famous festival in India. The cricket community has welcomed “Bappa” and were in festive mood as the citizens of the nation were busy enjoying the event with their loved ones.
The statues of Lord Ganesha, who has been regarded as the ‘vighna harta’ or deity of prosperity and the destroyer of obstacles, are placed during the ten-day celebration with tremendous enthusiasm.
How players did celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in 2022?
Indian cricketers sent their friends and family heartfelt messages on Ganesh Chaturthi. Dinesh Karthik took to his social media handles to wish everyone as he wrote with the caption, “A festival that brings a whole new level of energy and happiness. Wishing a happy and cheerful Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone. May this festival bring many more smiles and celebrations. Wish you all a happy Vinayak Chaturthi.”
Mayank Aggarwal, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batter posted a photo on twitter as he wrote, “Wishing you a Happy Vinayaka Chaturthi. May the grace of Lord Ganesha enlighten your lives and bless you and your loved ones.”
David Warner, the former captain of Australia, tweeted and posted a photo. Rishabh Pant, the Indian team wicket-keeper batter took to social media as he posted a ‘Shlok’ and wished everyone. He wrote, “May bappa bless us with peace and happiness. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.”
Indian women’s team vice-captain also celebrated the occasion and wished everyone for this momentous event. He wrote, “Wishing you and your family a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. May Lord Ganesha shower happiness and prosperity on you. Ganpati Bappa Morya!”
This year the Ganesh Chaturthi is set to be celebrated on 18th and 19th September and it is all set to be a great occasion not only for the people residing in India but for the people who have India in their hearts as well.
