India were batting and towards the end of the seventh over, a snake interrupted the match much to the consternation of the spectators.
It was not it as the floodlight went off in the second innings during South Africa’s chase. However, when players were having drinks during the interruption, Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal kicked Tabraiz Shamsi’s back and shook hands with him later on.

Commenting on the match, India batted first and put on a total of 237 runs on board. Openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma scored 57 and 43 respectively while Suryakumar Yadav starred with his 22-ball 66 runs. The Proteas tried their best to chase down the total but fell short in the end despite David Miller’s century.
The southpaw compiled 107 runs off 47 balls and remained unbeaten in the end. Although the team India skipper, Rohit Sharma, said that he felt good after the win, he admitted the concerns with the Indian bowling.
“All of us came together and said it was what we wanted to do as a team. It might not come across at times, but we want to stick to it. What I have seen in the last 8-10 months is individuals putting their hand up and getting the job done for the team. Guys without too much experience did this as well. The team wants to play and bowl in a certain way and we want to give them that confidence,” Rohit Sharma said after the match.
“Yes, we have not bowled well at the death in the last five or six games. We are doing the same to the opposition as well. To bowl and bat at the death is very tough. That is where the game is decided. It is not concerning, but we need to pick ourselves and get our act together. I am thinking of not playing Surya anymore and play him directly on 23rd. This is how is game is and we just want to keep him happy,” he added further.
