In the nail-biting thriller against Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings nearly pulled off the match with skipper MS Dhoni hammering bowlers. In the last-ball thriller, RR defended five runs and won the match by three runs. However, fans were mesmerized by Dhoni’s vintage innings as he scored 32 runs off 17 balls with the help of three sixes. Dhoni’s partnership with Ravindra Jadeja helped CSK to take the game to an end though they failed to finish it.

Meanwhile, after the game, a bombshell has been dropped by CSK coach Stephen Fleming. Fleming revealed that CSK skipper MS Dhoni is nursing a knee injury which left fans split. Informing about Dhoni, Fleming said, “He is nursing a knee injury, which you can see in some of his movements. It’s hindering him somewhat. His fitness has always been very professional. He comes a month before the tournament starts. He’s a great player. We have never doubts over him. He’s just amazing.”

Notably, CSK is already suffering from injuries as players like Deepak Chahar, Ben Stokes, and Sisanda Magala are dealing with various injuries and the team is going to miss them in upcoming games. Although, Fleming informed that Dhoni’s injury is not going to stop him from playing for the CSK in the upcoming games.

Sisanda Magala is set to miss IPL for two weeks

Further, speaking about injuries in the squad Coach Fleming revealed that Magala is set to miss the action for a couple of weeks. He is suffering from a hand injury. Fleming said, “Magala’s hand was split, unfortunately, so he was unable to bowl those last two overs. And the same with Deepak Chahar in the last game, so we’re operating on pretty thin resources. But we’re not the only team to have that.”

“I think a lot of players coming out of a big domestic season are a little bit broken, but we just keep having to find solutions,” he further added. Notably, in their last game against Mumbai Indians star pacer Deepak Chahar pulled his hamstring and is set to miss upcoming games for the franchise.
