Star KKR spinner, Varun Chakravarthy, has been one of the biggest strengths of the team in recent times. The mystery spinner has been phenomenal with the ball. and has supported Sunil Naraine well. Notably, In 11 matches in IPL 2022, Varun Chakravarthy took just six wickets. Although improving his stats and playing up to the mark, he has already taken five wickets in three matches this season.
His understanding of the ground and experience of playing here will help him out in the game. Notably, Sunrisers Hyderabad has a very poor record against quality spinners and it will be interesting to see how will they tackle the spinning duo of Kolkata Knight Riders, especially in the second innings. In IPL 2023, SRH has lost 12 wickets to spin so far, and they also have the lowest strike rate (101) and average (13.7) against spinners this season.
