Anil Kumble in Ayodhya

On the eve of the historic Ram temple ‘Pran Prathishta’ celebration, Anil Kumble, the renowned spinner and former captain of India, arrived in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A number of elite cricket players will show up for the event later today, and Kumble is one of the big names to be present.

Anil Kumble, the former cricket player for India, was seen on Sunday afternoon arriving from the Lucknow airport. Earlier today he was seen arriving in Ayodhya. He posted a couple of pictures across social media platforms. He clicked a selfie along with his wife outside the Ram temple.

Notably, the consecration of the Ram temple is scheduled to begin at 12:20 p.m. on Monday and is anticipated to end by 1 p.m. Over 6000 people, including notable individuals from throughout the nation, will hear Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the event.

The 5-match Test series versus England will start on January 25. It is unclear if India’s Test regulars, notably Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and R Ashwin, would attend the event. The Test players were going to travel to Hyderabad, on January 20, according to head coach Rahul Dravid, to start getting ready for what he anticipates to be a difficult five-match series.
