Danish Kaneria’s explosive tweets on Shahid Afridi

Cricket fans around the world were getting ready to watch the Pakistan versus South Africa game in Chennai. It turned out to be an explosive start to the day off the field as former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria took direct aim at Shahid Afridi.

The 42-year-old former spinner took to Twitter and posted an old video of Shahid Afridi. In that video, the former Pakistani skipper can be seen saying how he broke the TV set. This was after Afridi saw his daughter mimic the Hindu traditions that she had seen on TV drawing chuckles from the host.

Danish Kaneria wrote “Shahid Afridi broke his TV because his daughter was performing Pooja. Just imagine if he could do this to his innocent daughter how he would have treated me” During a recent interview with AAJ Tak, the 42-year-old former Pakistani spinner made a host of revelations., Kaneria first said “My career was going really well, and I was playing county cricket as well. Inzamam–Ul–Haq and Shoaib Akhtar were the only people who supported me. Shahid Afridi troubled me a lot. Afridi and others wouldn’t eat with me. Shahid Afridi tried forcing me to convert to Islam”

Kaneria also stated “I was charged with spot-fixing during my county stint. I admitted that I only met a bookie that was it. But they pressured me to accept the charges. The PCB didn’t support me because I am a Hindu. They were scared if I continued to play, I would break their records”.

The former Pakistan player continued “For me, Sanatana Dharma is everything, I am not saying anything wrong or making things up. I will raise my voice if anything wrong happens. There are a number of cases in Pakistan like these that have not been reported. The situation is right now in front of the whole world. I will always fight for my Hindu community”
