'Sarfu bhai legend' - Sarfaraz Ahmed invites trolls as he misspells 'Anas Saeed' as 'Anus'

Sarfaraz Ahmed, the Pakistani veteran, made the comeback of his life during the recently concluded Test series against New Zealand, bagging the Player of the Series award after scoring 335 runs at an average of 83.75 with 3 fifties and 1 century to his name in 4 innings. The veteran took to Twitter to thank everyone for wishing him well on January 8, Sunday and eventually misspelt the name ‘Anas Saeed’.

The person named ‘Anas’ wished Sarfaraz for the latter’s blistering century during the chase in the second Test, which ended in a draw. Replying to the same, the Pakistani wicketkeeper misspelt the name and pronounced it as ‘Anus’, inviting trolls all across social media. However, one has to agree that it was indeed a fiery century from the batter who made his Test comeback after 4 long years.

Here is Sarfaraz Ahmed’s reply:

It was a great comeback: Sarfaraz Ahmed

Sarfaraz opened up on his comeback after bagging the Player of the Series award against the Black Caps and said that it was the best comeback of his life, as he hoped to carry on with the form in the future as well. Taking cognizance of the crowd support, Sarfaraz thanked the people of Karachi for their love and wished them well.

“It was a great comeback, I’ve been part of the team for a long while, but I was waiting for a chance in the playing XI. The management gave me a lot of confidence when I went out to bat, thankful for everyone for keeping faith in me,” Sarfaraz was quoted as saying.

“The plan was to play according to the merit of the ball, a few more runs here and there, the result could have been different. Batting in the 4th innings anywhere is a challenge and I think this is the best out of my four hundreds. Thankful for the support from the Karachi crowd, please keep supporting us in the upcoming ODI series as well,” said the Pakistani veteran further.
