The Indian team created history as they won the inaugural edition of the Women’s U-19 20-20 World Cup on Sunday. The Shafali Verma-led Indian team trashed England in the final to register a convincing 7-wicket victory.
India’s victorious women’s U19 team will be honoured on Wednesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Indian Cricket Board office bearers, announced the Indian Cricket Board secretary Jay Shah.
“It is with great delight I share that Bharat Ratna Shri @sachin_rt and @BCCI Office Bearers will felicitate the victorious India U19 team on Feb 1st in Narendra Modi Stadium at 6:30 PM IST. The young cricketers have made India proud and we will honour their achievements,” Jay Shah wrote on Twitter.
