Since November 2023, Rey Mysterio has rarely been seen in the WWE. The WWE Hall of Famer appears to be in high spirits as his possible return draws near. He took time off to have surgery to repair a damaged meniscus.
The former World Heavyweight Champion and his son Dominik Mysterio were recently photographed out to eat. Many fans have begun to doubt their real-life relationship because of their animosity towards one another on TV. This proves, if it wasn’t already clear, that Rey as well as Dirty Dom are still close companions despite their fierce rivalry.
The two enjoyed dinner at the seafood restaurant CATCH Vegas near Las Vegas, Nevada. A photo of Dominik along with Rey Mysterio was shared on the restaurant’s Instagram account by manager Jason Pietrantoni. The member of Judgement Day appeared to be beaming. Whereas the Master of the 619 had no mask at all.
Jason Pietrantoni posted a viral picture on social media as the caption read, “Great seeing Dom and Rey Mysterio tonight!” When Rey and Dominik Mysterio cross paths on WWE television again, it will be intriguing to watch what transpires. Maybe Dominik will reveal his father’s identity to the world at Wrestlemania.
Will Rey Mysterio return for Wrestlemania 40?
Rey Mysterio has been out for more than three months due to the aforementioned knee issue. His goal was to make a comeback by the end of January 2024, maybe in time for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. But that didn’t actually happen.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s most recent issue has information indicating that the WWE Hall of Famer may be returning shortly. After Elimination Chamber: Perth, Rey Mysterio may make a quick comeback to begin setting up a WrestleMania 40 showdown versus Santos Escobar.
The former member of the Latino World Order attacked Mysterio in an attempt to get him removed from WWE television, and it appears like the two celebrities will square off at The Grandest Stage of Them All. Without a question, it would be Escobar’s greatest match to date.
