According to the reports, Prithvi Shaw has bought a lavish home in Bandra West suburban area in Mumbai. The Mumbai-born player has paid a whopping amount of 10.5 crores INR to buy the house. Notably, this is the amount he has earned while playing for Delhi in the Indian T20 League since 2018. The opening batter’s new home is in 81 Aureate, which is an apartment building.
The apartment is on the eighth floor and the building reportedly has a carpet area of 2209 square feet, a terrace of 1654 square feet along with three car parking slots. According to further reports in Economic Times, the 22-year-old paid an amount of 52.50 lakh as stamp duty on March 31. The registration took one month and the process was completed on April 28.
Meanwhile, Shaw is one of the most promising young Indian cricketer. He came to limelight after playing an innings of 546 in school cricket. In 2018, the India U19 team won the World Cup in New Zealand under his leadership. A few months down the line, he was signed by Delhi for the Indian T20 League 2018, and has been part of the team since then. Later that year, the right-hander made his international debut in a Test match against the West Indies at home and scored his maiden hundred.
Talking about his Indian T20 League salary growth, his initial salary was 1.2 crores, which has now spiked to 7.5 crores after the franchise retained him last year. Currently, his overall earning is 12.30 crores, which is around two crores more than the cost of his house.
Meanwhile, Shaw has blown hot and cold in the Indian T20 League 2022. He has given some fiery starts to the Delhi team but hasn’t stayed long enough at the wicket and played a real big knock. Delhi is all set to take on Hyderabad on 5th May and the team will be hoping that Shaw can score big and lead the team to an important win.
