The much-lauded Pan-Indian actor Prabhas is ecstatic about the enormous success of ‘Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire‘, his most recent project. The dates of this revelation line up with the release of the Jagadeka blockbusters Veerudu Athiloka Sundari and Mahanati from Vyjayanthi Movies.
In this mythological science fiction film, Deepika Padukone plays the lead role. Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, Pasupathy, and others make noteworthy cameos. The makers reportedly desired a lone, unchallenged run at the box office, which is why they decided to delay the release. The ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ team thought about rescheduling the January release to enable Prabhas’s previous release to finish its box office run, given that he only released his movie ‘Salaar’ on December 22. Fans of Deepika Padukone, who are awaiting the release of her action film “Fighter” on January 25, have also praised this decision. If ‘Kalki’ had remained in theatres in January, it would have competed with the actress’s box office earnings.
At a special event, where the movie’s characters, Raiders, held up posters for the new May release, the new release date was revealed. The “Baahubali” actor, Amitabh Bachchan, revealed the release date with a brand-new poster. Under Nag Ashwin’s direction, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone play important roles in the movie. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the science fiction film will be released in two parts, with the first part arriving in theatres in 2024.
“Kalki 2898 AD” is the most expensive Indian film ever, with a production budget of an astounding Rs 600 crore. In addition to the ensemble cast, Disha Patani has a significant role. The film, which was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi, features editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic, and music by Santhosh Narayanan.
