During the third Test versus England, Ravindra Jadeja’s all-around performance earned him the title of Player of the Match. In Rajkot, he helped India prevail by 434 runs by scoring a century and claiming seven wickets. Jadeja gave his spouse Rivaba, who has recently been in the headlines lately for a variety of reasons, the trophy. With his partnerships with Sarfaraz Khan and Rohit Sharma, he amassed 112 runs during the first innings and helped the host nation win.
During England’s first innings, Tom Hartley and Ben Stokes were both removed by the all-rounder. In the second, he was more efficient, taking five wickets for just 41 runs. England while chasing a daunting 557 runs were bowled out for 122 runs.
In a video published by the Indian Cricket Board, the star all-rounder said, “I would like to dedicate this POTM award to my wife. She’s working really hard behind me and supported me throughout.”
Ravindra Jadeja said in the post-match presentation “I was just looking to build partnerships with Rohit, we were in a difficult situation, look to back my strengths, play my shots, not try and be more conscious. Watch the ball and play the ball. I know about this wicket, if we bat first, it is always good to bat on, in the second half it starts spinning, when Rohit won the toss, we were thinking: this is all what we wanted, bat first, bowl second.”

Rivaba was accused by Ravindra Jadeja’s father of destroying their home and removing his child from the family. In addition to his daughter, who used to manage Jadeja’s restaurant, Jaddu’s parents lives separately. After their mother died, she raised the top all-round player. His father claims that everything were OK in the family up until his son was single. But that is when the issues began to arise following two years of Ravindra’s marriage.
He is making ends meet with his wife’s monthly pension because Jadeja severed all of their links. Ravindra Jadeja has denied all of the allegations, describing them as unfounded and a bid to damage his wife’s reputation.
