Ayushmann discussed his initial scepticism about whether Ananya would fit into the setting of Dream Girl 2 in a recent interview. He believed that the narrative needed a female protagonist who was familiar with and could speak the native language and dialect of Uttar Pradesh, where the action takes place.

Ayushmann Khurrana stated, “I was always thinking that she’s an urban girl, and how will she adjust to the milieu of Mathura, a city from tier-2 India,” in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama. But I believe she adjusted really well. We worked with a dialect coach named Yash Chaturvedi to improve our accent. In our nation, the accent shifts every 10 kilometres.”

Ayushmann added that Ananya’s flawless command of the accent and standout performance in the movie shocked him. He claimed that despite his reservations, Ananya did a remarkable job with her accent. He admitted that it is challenging for someone from Mumbai to understand the regional accent of Uttar Pradesh. The star actor noted that since he speaks and thinks in Hindi, it was simple for him. He continued to compliment Ananya, noting that she had performed admirably in the film and that viewers had previously seen her doing so in the UP-based Pati Patni Aur Woh.
The comedy-drama movie is made by Raaj Shaandilyaa and is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, a company owned by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. Along with Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Manjot Singh, and others, it also features a great supporting cast.
