Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan made his acting debut in the Double XL movie with Bollywood actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi. However, that role was a short cameo but the stylish left-handed batter, once again, is ready to make his presence feel in a movie with Actor Abhishek Kapur.

Abhishek shared a picture on his Instagram account with Dhawan in which he can be seen wearing a police uniform. But it is still not disclosed whether it will be a cameo or a bigger role this time. The actor also wrote a caption with the picture and wrote, “It’s always a lotta fun being around you…. Love you Pajji Shikhar Dhawan.”

Meanwhile, talking about Dhawan’s place in the national team, it looks like that he might not make a comeback in the squad as many youngsters are performing well. Dhawan has been out of the team since December 2022 when he played the ODI series against Bangladesh but couldn’t perform well.

If somebody is doing better than my best, that is fine: Shikhar Dhawan

Dhawan last played a Test match in 2018 and couldn’t make it to the squad since then. He was also not included in the four-match Test series against Australia. India’s young sensation Shubman Gill performed brilliantly since he got the chance to open the innings for India in both the longest format and 50-over format.

However, last month, Dhawan open up on him losing the spot in the Indian team and said that if someone is doing better than him then it is absolutely fine. He, further, mentioned that there will always be a chance for him to make a comeback. The left-hander will be seen leading the Punjab franchise in the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League.

“They (ups and downs) are part of life. With time, with experience, you learn how to handle them with ease. I find a lot of strength in them. I did my best. If somebody is doing better than my best, that is fine.” Dhawan was quoted as saying by Timesnow.

“That is why that person is there and I am not there. I am very happy and content wherever I am. I make sure my process goes on strong. Of course, there is always a chance of me coming back to the side,” he added.

Here’s how fans reacted to Dhawan’s recent post:
