ODI World Cup 2023: Major celebrities set to be present for upcoming India-Pakistan clash

Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India is all set to be present for the India-Pakistan clash at ODI World Cup 2023.

On Saturday, October 14, India and Pakistan will play each other during the ODI World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad, beginning a new chapter in their long-standing rivalry. The historic match will take place in the Narendra Modi arena, the biggest cricket arena in the world. Legends of the Indian film industry like Amitabh Bachchan as well as Rajinikanth are reportedly expected to attend the stadium to watch the much awaited match. 

On the other side, the ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar is also going to be making an appearance for the grueling game. Additionally, the renowned Bollywood singer Arijit Singh is scheduled to provide a live performance at the momentous event.

Particularly, the opening ceremony of the ODI World Cup 2023 was not held at all. There are reports of a small event ahead of the iconic clash. These sort of pre-game performances might just add more fuel to the already intense match-up between the two arch-rivals.

For the India and Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 cricket clash on October 14, more than 11,000 people from various agencies, comprising Gujarat Police, NSG, RAF, as well as home guards, would be stationed in Ahmedabad along with Narendra Modi Stadium, a top officer announced on Monday.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel met with state DGP Vikas Sahay, G S Malik, and a number of senior police officers in Gandhinagar earlier in the day to review the police’s plan of action to ensure that the high-profile sporting event goes off without a hitch.

Malik said, “Along with more than 7,000 police personnel, we will deploy nearly 4,000 home guards to secure the stadium and to maintain law and order in communally sensitive areas of the city during the match. In addition to these personnel, we will deploy three ‘hit teams’ and one anti-drone team of the NSG. Nine teams of our bomb detection and disposal squad will also be utilised.”
