Someone needs to intervene before things take a darker turn.

They say no publicity is bad publicity. In a world ruled by views and clicks, being famous brings in a lot of money to an individual. Politicians, actors, cricketers, and influencers, for example, thrive on generating publicity and using it to their advantage.

Urvashi Rautela, an Indian actress seems to have perfected the art of publicity and seems to be loving the attention that it brings. The ongoing war of words between Urvashi and Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant seems to have taken another turn this time with Urvashi claiming herself to be the victim of online hate and bullying.

In a latest Instagram post, the 28-year-old actress has put out a lengthy message claiming herself to be the victim of social media bullying. Her strong-worded post read, “FIRST IN IRAN ?? #MahsaAmini ?? & NOW IN INDIA….it’s happening with me they’re bullying me as a Stalker ??? No one cares about me or support me ?A strong woman is one who feels deeply & loves fiercely. Her tears flow as abundantly as her laughter. She is both soft & powerful , is both practical & spiritual. She’s a gift to the world. #BringBackOurGirls #Yesallwomen.”

She compared herself with the brave Iranian young girl who died under mysterious circumstances after refusing to wear hijab in the highly patriarchial country. Her death sparked a nationwide protest with women taking to the streets and cutting their hair as an act of defiance.

Urvashi Rautela got trolled for posting cryptic post on Karwachauth

Notably, people on social media called out the Indian actress for ‘stalking’ and using Rishabh Pant’s name for popularity. She has been following the wicketkeeper batter on cricket tours, first in UAE and then to Australia.

A couple of days back, she uploaded a photo with sindoor and mangalsutra and wrote, “There is nothing dearer than vermilion to a woman in love, I want you for the rest of my life with rituals and promises.” The actress did not mention anyone in her post but her followers were convinced that she meant it for Pant.

Comparing her social media trolling with the death of a person who showed immense bravery to fight against an unjust patriarchial rule in Iran, hasn’t been well received by fans. Fans have started to call her out on her ‘childish‘ and ‘creepy’ behaviour on social media yet again.
