Due to security concerns and high demand for tickets, Mumbai City FC has changed the location of their AFC Champions League match against Neymar’s Al Hilal. The change involves the match going from the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune to the DY Patil Sports Stadium. The location was previously relocated from Andheri Sports Complex, the true home of Mumbai City FC, to Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune.
Indian football fans may pre-register for tickets beginning on Friday, September 29, at 11 AM IST, according to Mumbai City, and they can then purchase those tickets through the BookMyShow app.
Mumbai City FC made the decision to move its home matches to the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune since the Mumbai Football Arena was ineligible to host the AFC Champions League.
For Mumbai supporters, though, who must make the journey to Pune to cheer on their club and see footballing greats in action, this will provide challenges. As a result, it was decided to move their game versus Al-Hilal to the neighbouring DY Patil Stadium, because it has a substantially bigger seating capacity.
Notably, the DY Patil Stadium contains a football surface that has received FIFA accreditation and has hosted matches for Mumbai City FC in both the 2014 and 2015 ISL campaigns. The stadium can hold about 55,000 people, however, the amount of seats reserved for the match between Mumbai City FC and Al-Hilal SFC has not been officially confirmed.

On September 18, the Asian Champions League’s group stage got underway. November 6 is the scheduled date for the game. Al Hilal is the most dominant club in AFC Champions League history with four trophies. They are joined in Group D by Mumbai City, FC Nassaji Mazandaran of Iran, and Navbahor of Uzbekistan.
Mumbai City, which is owned by the City Football Group, is located in Abu Dhabi and also owns Manchester City. They had the greatest season of any Indian team during the Asian Champions League last year.
They won twice over the Iraqi Air Force club and drew once with Al Jazira of the UAE to earn seven points out of their six group games, which helped them place second.
