MS Dhoni fans are everywhere, even at FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar

An MS Dhoni fan was spotted in Qatar during Brazil’s match on Saturday.

MS Dhoni fans are everywhere, even at FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar

MS Dhoni, the former Indian cricketer, known for his presence all across the world, made his presence felt indirectly in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. To add more, an ardent fan of the former Indian cricketer, eventually took a jersey with Dhoni written on it, during Brazil’s match against Serbia on November 25, Saturday.

Taking a picture of himself wearing a Chennai jersey of Dhoni and a chart with ‘Forever Thala Dhoni’ written on it, the fan ensured that the former Indian captain’s presence was felt at the biggest sporting event. This is not the first time that the Ranchi-born was felt even after his retirement as the Indian star batter Virat Kohli, of late, took to his Instagram account to show off his fanboy moment as he shared a picture of a water bottle with Dhoni’s picture printed on it.

MS Dhoni to make comeback for team India?

As things stand, there have been reports claiming that the former Indian captain might as well make a comeback for team India in some capacity and take the burden off the Men in Blue head coach Rahul Dravid.

Commenting on the same, former Pakistan captain, Salman Butt claimed that Dhoni might be a perfect fit for head coach and highlighted the right-handed batter’s tactical skills, which helped India to win three major titles.

“Both VVS Laxman and Virender Sehwag were fantastic players. But leadership and tactical prowess are very important because a coach also needs to be a mentor to the players. Looking at how successful MS Dhoni was in those aspects, he would be my first choice,” Butt was quoted as saying.

India are hoping to turn things around and make a comeback at the international stage and eventually make it count in the upcoming 50-over World Cup to be held in India in 2023. However, it will not be easy for Men in Blue as they have too many issues to address before the start of the same.

It remains to be seen if the Indian cricket board would rope him although it is highly likely that Dhoni might call it a time in all forms of cricket post the conclusion of the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League.
