Renowned South Indian filmmaker Vignesh Shivan also had a chance to see the film, and he praised Vijay and Katrina for their performances. After seeing the film, Vignesh, Nayanthara’s husband and director, was in a state of amazement. He thought Katrina and Vijay had excellent performances in Merry Christmas.

He invited everyone to enjoy Merry Christmas in theatres starting on January 12. He also praised Vijay further, saying, “I’m so proud of you, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi! You just effortlessly and deftly held everything together.”

Have to watch it in Hindi to judge. I felt a disconnect due to the language only. And moreover she looks like the only outsider among other Tamil artists.
