Drivers who saved Rishabh Pant

All of the cricket fraternity was shocked to get the news of Rishabh Pant finding himself in a near-death accident. Since then all eyes have been set on the young batter and all developments are being observed keenly by all.

The southpaw has been reported to be in stable condition with recovery to take a few weeks. New findings continue to come out every few hours with the latest being about Pant’s first few words after the accident.

Haryana roadways driver Sushil Kumar was the first to approach Pant and brought him out to safety from the burning car. In a chat with the reporters, Kumar has now revealed that Pant asked her mother to be called while he was being carried away from the accident spot.

“Meri Mummy ko phone mila do” asked Pant while Kumar carried him to safety after his car accident. The good humanitarian said that he looked into the car for others if any, as well.

“I didn’t want to leave that person (Pant) alone in that state. I did try to look into the car and found no one else. There was a lot of blood coming out from his forehead and legs. Her mother’s phone was off,” Kumar said during his conversation with reporters.

“One of the passengers on the bus came, saw the injured man and said “Yeh to cricketer Rishabh Pant hai”, said Kumar, who is not a fan of cricket. “I hardly watch cricket. I don’t know who plays cricket for India. I just know Sachin (Tendulkar) and (MS) Dhoni. Whether he is a cricketer or a millionaire, I just wanted to help and save a life”.

Picked all the money and put it in his pants- Kumar

There were reports that Pant was robbed of his money after the accident but Kumar has refuted those claims and said,“There was some money scattered on the road. I picked all of it and put it in his (Pant’s) pocket. I told him ‘theek ho jaoge, dhyan rakhna’ (you will be fine, take care). He wanted to say something, but couldn’t. He tried waving his hand towards me, wanting to say thanks.”
