Sofyan Amrabat, a target for Manchester United, is reportedly attracting attention from Saudi Arabia following rumours that he could leave Fiorentina this summer. Amrabat has reportedly made the decision to depart the Stadio Artemio Franchi during the summertime, according to Calciomercato (via Mundo Deportivo). The Moroccan midfielder’s prospective destinations have been mentioned as Atletico Madrid and United.

Teams within the Saudi Pro League, however, have recently focused their attention on the 26-year-old. Many well-known European athletes are being lured to the Middle East by Saudi powers to play with Cristiano Ronaldo. Many players from Europe have left, including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante (both from Al Ittihad), Ruben Neves (from Al Hilal), and Marcelo Brozovic (from Al Nassr).

United’s interest in Amrabat

Recently, Manchester United have entered the conversation surrounding a possible transfer for Amrabat. According to reports, the Red Devils and the Moroccan international have already reached a personal agreement. The midfielder could be up for sale by Fiorentina for about £26 million.

Despite this, given the sums of money being spent by their top clubs, Amrabat might be enticed to relocate to Saudi Arabia. At Al Nassr, Ronaldo reportedly earns £173 million annually. Amrabat had a strong season last year, contributing one assist across 49 games in all competitions. He has consistently played at the centre of Vincenzo Italiano’s midfield.

The Moroccan midfielder’s contract has one year left, thus Viola might try to sell him this summer. He is currently attracting interest from Saudi Arabia in addition to teams like Manchester United and Atletico.

Prior to their trip to the United States, a number of Manchester United’s players were returning to Carrington on Thursday, July 6. Participating in the session were celebrities like Antony, Lisandro Martinez, Donny van de Beek, and Fred.

Later in July, players who served last month on international duty will reunite with the team. In particular, Antony was happy to reunite alongside his United companions for preseason. He posted a photo along with the caption, “It’s good to be back !! May it be an amazing season for all of us! We are United!”
