With a terrific last-minute header from Roberto Firmino, Liverpool salvaged a 2-2 draw against Premier League toppers Arsenal on Sunday at Anfield. In the game at Anfield Liverpool came from behind to pull out an amazing draw in the last minutes. In the star as Arsenal was playing amazingly with two back-to-back goals, the league-leading Gunners appeared to have passed the most difficult test of their title credentials.
Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus scored twice for the table-toppers in the first 28 minutes. This encouraged the chances of Arsenal’s first victory at Anfield since 2012. However, a collision between Xhaka and Alexander-Arnold electrified the Liverpool crowd, and the Reds fought to score three minutes before half-time. However, Arsenal still leads the Premier League standings by six points and still controls their destiny.
