India has come up with a new jersey for their practice sessions in the ODI World Cup 2023. Ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup match against Australia, which will mark the beginning of the Indian campaign in the tournament, the Indian players were seen practising in MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. But the highlight of India’s practice session was the jersey.
Indian players practised with orange jerseys, which caught the attention of the fans. While some were happy with the colour of the practice kits, others mentioned their disappointment. All the players wore the jersey and practised at Chepauk under the scorching heat. The players were seen in a team discussion in the middle.
The likes of Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Shardul Thakur, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and everyone else were seen in the middle along with the Indian coach Rahul Dravid. The Indian coach was seen explaining a thing or two to the players. In turn, the players were seen nodding their heads to Dravid’s words.
Focus on India vs. Australia match in Chennai
India will face Australia in their first assignment in the ODI World Cup 2023. The two teams faced each other earlier this year in Chennai, the venue for the World Cup match. Australia emerged victorious in the match and won the series against India. The home side though, made a good comeback in ODIs since then and won the series against the West Indies, Australia, and the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka.
The match between India and Australia is expected to be a cracker of a contest. The dynamics for the match are interesting, as it will be played in spin-friendly conditions of Chennai. Australia has only Adam Zampa as their main spinner and Glenn Maxwell is the part-time option. on the other hand, India got Ashwin in the squad as a replacement for Axar Patel. It is interesting to see what the team combination of both sides in the match will be.
