India now have an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the five-match T20I series.

Australia won the toss for the third game in a row and put India to bat first once again. Before getting dismissed, Yashasvi Jaiswal enabled India to a fast start as they scored 50 runs during the powerplay. Shreyas Iyer and skipper Suryakumar Yadav did not contribute much to the scoreboard.

But Ruturaj Gaikwad controlled the innings with the help of in-form Rinku Singh. Together, they put on 48 runs for the fourth wicket, laying the groundwork for Jitesh Sharma to ignite the first innings with a fast-paced 35 off only 19 balls. India appeared to be on track to surpass the 180-mark with Jitesh and Rinku well established at the crease.

But Australia rallied and would have appeared to be interested in pursuing the Indian total. With only 13 runs collected and 5 wickets sacrificed in those final two overs, India would have been dissatisfied. On this surface, 180 would definitely have been acceptable, but they are just short as they scored 174 runs in their 20 overs.

Australia chase down total to level series

Travis Head struck at 200 and provided a strong powerplay score as Australia got started to a flying start. Regretfully, only Matthew Wade ultimately scored more than 120 strikes. The remainder, however, found it difficult to establish momentum against Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi, the spin pair. In the course of eight overs, the spin twins managed to deliver a fantastic spell of 33/4.

In his second period, Deepak Chahar also produced a fantastic return, taking important wickets in the game, including those of Tim David and Matt Short. After giving up 29 runs in his opening two overs, he only allowed 15 runs for two wickets in his next two overs.

India ended up winning the fourth T20 match at Raipur by a score of 20 runs. The first-ever international T20 match at this location was an incredible show for the fans and would be hoping for many more international fixtures sooner rather than later.
