On Tuesday in Mumbai, Aamir Khan was observed attending his daughter Ira Khan’s Haldi ceremony. Ira and her longtime partner Nupur Shikhare are getting married. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan told News18 India last year that the wedding would happen in the first week of January.
Now that the pre-wedding events have begun. The paparazzi saw Aamir at the ceremony on Tuesday, but he was dressed strangely. Instead of dressing traditionally, he chose a casual t-shirt and dhoti pants. The actor was seen sporting an untidy hairstyle. He appeared shocked to see the paparazzi and even mentioned that his hair was still undone to them. Check out the video below:

Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh, Imran Khan, and Reena Dutta, Aamir’s ex-wives, were seen heading to the Haldi ceremony earlier in the day. Kiran also wore a sari, but Reena chose a green one that was draped in a Maharashtrian manner. She chose to dress traditionally Maharashtrian, in a lavender sari. Ira and Nupur are scheduled to get married on January 3rd.
The traditional Maharashtra saree style known as Navvari seems to have served as the model for the Haldi ceremony. Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta wore Navvari for the occasion. Nupur Shikhare posed for pictures by herself. He saw his mother waving to the guests. She hugged Reena and Kiran. It was good to see the mothers enjoying their children’s wedding celebrations. A source revealed, “The Khan family is elated as they’re going to start the new year with a bang. On January 3, Ira and Nupur will tie the knot at the opulent Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra. Then, between January 6 and January 10, there will be two reception parties, one in Delhi and one in Jaipur.”
We also know that Aamir is very eager for his daughter to marry, and he has been personally calling B-town friends and peers to attend the wedding and wish the couple well. The source continued, “The holidays keep most actors away from the city. You can, however, count on it to be a star-studded event. Those who are unable to attend their special day will participate in the Jaipur reception.”
