Team India has thrashed Bangladesh by 7 wickets during their fourth game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 19 at MCA in Pune. Batting legend Virat Kohli lit up the show as he hammered a magnificent hundred, which guided the Men in Blue to chase down the total with 51 balls to spare during the play. However, an unbreakable friendship bond was seen between Virat Kohli and KL Rahul during the game.
Notably, the great middle-order batsman KL Rahul denied taking singles to assist Virat Kohli in smashing his 48th ton in the play during ODI World Cup 2023. Following the same, former India skipper Virat Kohli tried hitting shots and two runs in the play to complete the century. In addition, the RCB stalwart crosses 26000 runs in international cricket.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has expressed happiness after an emphatic win over the Bangla Tigers on October 19. The stylish right-handed batsman believes that he can smash the ton after scoring back-to-back fifties against Australia and Afghanistan.
“I wanted to make a big contribution. I have had a few fifties in World Cups, haven’t really converted them. We just wanted to finish the game off this time around and hang on till the end which is what I have done over the years for the team. Just calms you down gets you into the innings,” Virat Kohli said during post-match presentation.
There’s a great atmosphere in the change room: Virat Kohli
The 34-year-old cricketer reveals that the pitch in the game helped him score the runs. Virat Kohli also shared that there is a great atmosphere in the dressing room following back-to-back wins.
“The pitch was pretty good and it allowed me to play my game – just time the ball, hit the gaps, run hard and get the boundaries whenever needed. There’s a great atmosphere in the change room, we are loving each others’ company, the spirit is there for everyone to see on the field,” he added further.
